Sometimes, thinking of what to prepare for dinner becomes a burden. Trying to come-up with a new and exciting dish often adds to the pressure. If you are experiencing this, you are not alone. Most home cooks (like you and me) run out of dinner ideas. The best remedy for this is to either search for new ideas, or do some experiment – like combining 2 dishes, perhaps.


This Easy Basil and Tomato Chicken Breast came about when I was trying to use all the remaining ingredients in the fridge. There were chicken breasts, some bell pepper, a can of diced tomatoes, basil, and some onion. At first, I had no clue on what to do with the ingredients in front of me. So I started to season and pan-fry the chicken before the other parts of the recipe came into perspective.


It ended out simple and nice. There is a taste of freshness in the dish, and it seemed so easy to cook. I ate it with flour tortilla. You can also try having this with pita bread or steamed rice.


Easy Basil and Tomato Chicken Breast Recipe


Ingredients:


2 lbs boneless chicken breasts
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
2 teaspoons garlic, minced
1 small red bell pepper, sliced
1 small green bell pepper, sliced
1 (26 ounces) can, diced tomatoes
2 fresh basil leaves, chopped
4 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste


Cooking Procedure:


Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan.
Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the chicken. Pan-fry each side for about 5 to 7 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the pan. Let cool. Slice into 1 inch strips.
Heat remaining olive oil in a separate pan.
Sauté onion and garlic; continue cooking for 2 minutes or until the onion becomes soft.
Put-in tomato and basil. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.
Put-in the chicken strips. Cook for 6 minutes.
Add bell peppers, salt, and ground black pepper. Cook for 3 minutes more.


Serve. Share and enjoy!

Banana Nut Muffin Recipe


Ingredients:


3 pieces medium ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup granulated white sugar
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 pieces eggs (whites only)
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
a pinch of salt


Cooking Procedure:


Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder. Mix well. Set aside.
Beat-in egg whites in a separate bowl. Gradually add the bananas, vegetable oil, sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract. Continue beating until all the ingredients are well distributed.
Gradually fold-in the flour mixture, and then the walnuts. Mix well.
Arrange muffin cups on a muffin tray. Scoop the mixture and arrange in each muffin cup. Make sure that you only fill about less than 3/4 of the cup’s volume.
Place in the oven and bake for 23 to 27 minutes, or until it passes the toothpick test.
Remove from the oven and let cool by placing on a wire rack.

Beef with Broccoli Lo Mein Recipe


Ingredients:


3/4 lb spaghetti noodles, cooked according to package instructions
1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
2 1/2 cups broccoli, chopped
1/4 cup beef broth
1 medium onion, sliced
3 teaspoons minced ginger
3 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons white sugar
3 tablespoons sherry (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper to taste


Cooking Procedure:


-In a bowl, combine beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and sesame oil. Stir and set aside.
-Heat a pan and pour-in olive oil.
-Saute onion, ginger, and garlic.
-When the onion becomes soft, add the beef slices and cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the color turns light to medium brown.
-Put-in the broccoli and pour in sherry. Cook for 3 minutes.
-Add the mixed seasonings (contents of bowl). Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Make sure that the liquid do not dry out.
-Turn off heat. Put-in the spaghetti noodles and toss.
-Add salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a serving plate.

This Ground Beef  Tostada is pretty much the same as your regular beef taco. The only difference is the shell: tacos are served in a folded shell while the shells for tostadas are flat. In addition, some tacos come in soft wraps, and tostadas are never served that way.


If you are looking for a quick and easy ground beef recipe, I suggest that you consider making Ground Beef Tostada. I know that most of you are not comfortable with too much cooking. The only cooking involved with this ground beef recipe is with the ground beef — the rest are arranging the rest of the ingredients to come-up with your own awesome tostada creation.


I like this dish because it tastes good and it is very quick easy to prepare. This is perfect for beginners – even to those who have no cooking experience.
There are other ingredients that you can use as toppings. Avocado and onion are good examples. Can you suggest other toppings that we can use for tostadas?


Ground Beef Tostada Recipe


Ingredients:


1 lb lean ground beef
15 ounces canned refried beans
1 pouch taco seasoning
12 pieces tostada shells
2 cups lettuce, shredded
3 medium tomatoes, diced
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon cooking oil

Procedure:


1. Heat a pan and put-in the cooking oil.
2. Add the ground beef and cook until the color turns light brown.
3. Put-in the taco seasoning and water. Stir, let boil, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Note: add water as necessary.
4. Add the refried beans and cook for 5 minutes.
5. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Turn the heat off, and then set aside.
6. Place the tostada shell in a plate, and then top with cooked ground beef.
7. Arrange lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and cheese on top of the ground beef.

One word of caution though: get an extra cup of rice ready – it might come in handy later on.
Beef Curry is cooked in many different ways. This recipe that we have here is the mild version. There are people who love to eat curry dishes, but have a low tolerance with coconut milk. This recipe uses fresh milk as a replacement. 


If you like a rich and tasty curry dish, you can always use coconut milk (use the same measurement).
If you will ask me, I will go for coconut milk for this dish. Coconut milk makes this dish richer and creamier. Why did I use fresh milk for this recipe then? Not all of us have the same taste buds. Some people like mild foods, while others prefer the opposite. I just want to feature our recipes as neutral as possible. We can always substitute ingredients to make it taste the way that we want. Don’t get me wrong, this recipe tastes great – it just has a milder taste compared to the same dish that uses coconut milk.


Coconut milk of fresh milk: the choice is all up to you. No matter what your choice is, I am confident that you will love this Beef Curry dish.




Beef Curry Recipe


Ingredients:


2 lbs beef, cubed
2 pieces cinnamon sticks
1 piece dried bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper/chili
1 cup chopped onion
4 pieces cloves
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons ginger, minced
2 tablepsoons curry powder
1  1/2 cups fresh milk (or coconut milk)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cooking oil


Cooking Procedure:


-Heat oil in a cooking pot.
-Saute onions and garlic.
-Add beef and cook until the color turns light brown.
-Put-in crushed red pepper/chili, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and curry -powder. Stir.
-Pour-in fresh milk (or coconut milk). Let boil.
-Add tomato, ginger, lemon juice, and salt. Stir and simmer until the sauce thickens and the beef becomes tender.
-Turn the heat off and transfer to a serving plate.
-Serve with steamed rice.

Galbi is a Korean grilled beef short ribs recipe. It is also known as Kalbi.


This is easy beef recipe is simple to make. It only requires the the meat to be marinated for a reasonable amount of time before grilling. If you are a cooking newbie, you won’t have a hard time making this dish. This is as simple as making Inihaw na Liempo.


Choosing the right meat is important. Beef – in general – is not as tender as chicken, but there are certain parts that are softer than the rest: the short ribs is one of them. Make sure that you do not over cook the meat so that it will remain tender.


Galbi is usually eaten with leafy vegetables such as lettuce. The meat is wrapped with the veggie and dipped in fermented bean paste. However, this dish can also be eaten with steamed rice. This is what I do all the time. I like it dipped in toyomansi along with some chili sauce.


Galbi Recipe


Ingredients:


2 1/2 to 3 lbs beef short ribs, sliced
3/4 cups light soy sauce
3 tablespoons garlic, minced
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
1 tablespoon cooking rice wine
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon chili powder


Cooking Procedure:


-Make the marinade by combining soy sauce, garlic, sugars, rice wine, sesame oil, and chili powder in a bowl. Stir.
-Place the beef short ribs in a heavy duty freezer bag and pour in the marinade.
-Secure the freezer bag by sealing the edges. Make sure to release all the air inside the bag before closing.
-Place the bag in the fridge and marinate overnight.
-Grill the short ribs for about 4 to 8 minutes per side (depending on the heat) while basting with the remaining marinade.
-Place in a serving plate. Serve.

with some pancakes.

Ground Beef Casserole Recipe


Ingredients:


1 lb ground beef
1 can (15 oz) Corn Kernels
4 cups tater tots
1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
3/4 cup green bell pepper, diced
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/4 cup yellow onion, chopped
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 cups colby and sharp cheddar cheeses (combined), shredded
2 teaspoons salt

Cooking Procedure:


-Melt butter in a pan. Once the butter is hot, put-in the onions and cook until soft.
-Add the beef and cook until the color turns medium brown.
-Turn the heat off and let the temperature cool down.
-In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef with the remaining ingredients (except the cheese). Mix well.
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
-Transfer the mixture on an oven-safe container. Top with cheese.
-Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.

Aside from tasting so good, Salmon is also known to be rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin D, and protein. This makes this Baked Salmon Recipe even more interesting.
The good thing about this recipe is its characteristic of being both a main dish and a salad. The fish can be eaten with rice or in between two buns. It can also be consumed with the salad — which compliments the fish, by the way.
Baked Salmon is a simple recipe fit for beginners. All you need to do is rub the spices, wrap in a foil, and bake. The salad is also easy to prepare. This only requires you to combine the ingredients and toss. This recipe is quick, easy, and healthy.


I know that you are excited to try this recipe, but let me give you some pointers before starting. In the recipe list, there is an ingredient called spring mix. This is basically pre packaged vegetables consisting of baby lettuce, radicchio, endives, and some greens. If this is not available in your area, you can use romaine lettuce, spinach, and any leafy vegetable fit for a salad.
I find Feta cheese best for this recipe, but feel free to use any type that you desire. I used garlic Feta for this. You can get this type of cheese on the same aisle where ordinary Feta cheeses are located.
One last thing, make sure not to overcook the salmon. There should be enough juice left in the fish.


This recipe is good for 1 to 2 persons.

Baked Salmon Recipe


Ingredients:


6 ounces salmon fillet
1 teaspoon iodized salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 cups spring mix
1/4 cup organic grape tomatoes
2 1/2 teaspoons balsamic vinaigrette
2 tablespoons crumbled Feta cheese


Cooking Procedure:


-Pour the lemon juice over the salmon and distribute evenly. Let stand for 5 minutes.
-Rub salt, pepper, and garlic powder all over the salmon fillets.
-Wrap the entire salmon with an aluminum foil.
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
-Bake the salmon for 15 minutes.
-Open the aluminum foil to expose the top part of the fillet. Increase the heat to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and continue baking for 5 to 7 minutes.
-Remove the salmon from the oven and let cool.
-Meanwhile, combine spring mix, Feta, grape tomatoes, and vinaigrette. Toss.
-Transfer the mixture on a serving plate and top with the Baked Salmon.

Baked Potato Skins are made from the outer layer of baking potatoes. This is prepared by simply slicing a single potato in half (lengthwise), and scraping it until the desired thickness is achieved – or shall I say thinness.


The good thing about baked potato skins is that you can put any ingredient that you want, depending on your preference. For commonality sake, we will be doing the usual recipe for potato skins, but I added some crumbled bacon to make it more appealing.


If you are new to cooking and would like to try quick and easy recipes, this potato recipe is your starting point. It does not require advanced cooking skills and experience. All you will need are the ingredients and an oven to complete this recipe.

Baked Potato Skins Recipe


Ingredients:


4 to 5 large baking potatoes
6 pieces cooked bacon strips, crumbled
1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated

-In a bowl, combine olive oil, salt, garlic powder, pepper, Parmesan cheese, and paprika. Mix well. Set aside
-Slice the potatoes in half (lengthwise). Scrape the pulp until the thickness reaches about a quarter of an inch.
-Brush the oil and spice mixture on each potato skin. Grease a baking tray, and arrange the potato skin.
-Place inside the oven and bake each side for 8 to 9 minutes.
-Remove from the oven and arrange crumbled bacon and sharp cheddar cheese in each potato skin.
-Put-back in the oven and bake for 2 to 3 minutes more.
-Remove from the oven and allow to cool down.
-Put sour cream on top and garnish with chopped green onions.

Asian Chicken BBQ Submarine Sandwich Recipe


Ingredients:


2 pieces boneless chicken breast
3 tablespoons soy sauce
a pinch of salt
a pinch of ground black pepper
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
2 pieces sub bread
1/2 tablespoon olive oil

Cooking Procedure:


1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Stir.
2. Put-in the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 3 hours.
3. Grill chicken until each side is done. Slice into strips, and then set aside.
4. Heat a pan and then put-in olive oil.
5. Add the onion and cook in medium heat until caramelized. Set aside.
6. Combine mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Mix and spread a reasonable amount of mixture on each side of the sliced sub bread.
7. Arrange sliced BBQ chicken and caramelized onion in the sub bread.
8. Wrap or put in a plate.

Hello! Guys Im jaime boyboy again,  I would like to introduce new '' Turkey Pot Pie ''.



Turkey Pot Pie is a type of baked pie encased with a flaky crust on top and bottom. This is somewhat similar to Chicken Pastel, although the later is only covered by a flaky crust on top.
I made this pie out of the leftover turkey that we had for thanksgiving. Instead of refrigerating the turkey right away, I carved and diced the remaining meat and placed them in the freezer for future use.


Using leftovers to make a new dish is a good way to save money on food. It also feels good to know that nothing is wasted. A word of advice though: always make sure that whatever leftover that you are using is still in good condition before attempting to recycle.
What if you want to make Turkey Pot Pie and you don’t have any left over turkey? You wouldn’t roast a whole turkey just for this, would you? Chicken is the best alternative, if this is the case. Go boil or roast chicken and use it as an ingredient, then refer to it as “Chicken Pot Pie”.


Before I forget, I want to remind you to allot some time in making the pie crust. The crust might look simple, but it takes some time and effort to make one. I also posted the steps and details on How to Make a Flaky Double Crust Pie for your convenience.

Turkey Pot Pie Recipe


Ingredients:


2 cups turkey, pre-cooked and cubed
1 pastry for double crust pie
2 medium potatoes, cubed
1 medium onion, minced
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 medium carrots, diced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
3 tablespoons dried parsley
1 piece chicken bouillon
2 cups water
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
salt and pepper to taste


Cooking Procedure:


-Heat a cooking pot then put-in 1/8 cup butter. Allow to melt.
-Add-in the onion, celery, and carrots then stir.
-Put-in the dried parsley, oregano, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir and cook for 3 minutes or until the vegetables are soft.
-Add the chicken bouillon and water. Let boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
-Put the potatoes in and simmer.
-While simmering the potatoes, melt the remaining butter in a separate pan.
-Put-in the turkey and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
-Sprinkle flour and stir.
-Add milk, stir, and simmer for a minute.
-Combine the turkey mixture with the vegetables then stir. Simmer until the desired thickness is achieved.
Turn-off heat and allow the mixture to cool.
-Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
-Transfer the mixture on the pie crust. Cover with the second crust.
-Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
-Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

Tuna Sushi Roll is a type of Sushi made from shari (cooked rice with vinegar) and raw tuna. This is also known as Tekkamaki.


Tuna Roll can be done in many ways. There are versions wherein the nori covers the entire roll, while others are rolled in such a way that the nori stays inside – just like California roll.
The ingredients can also vary depending on the influence of the recipe: westernized recipes uses cucumber strips for additional texture. Aside from the famous wasabi paste, there are also different sauces that you can use depending on your preference. I placed some dynamite sauce on top of the sushi to give it an extra kick. Dynamite sauce is an orange colored creamy spicy sauce. If you like a Spicy Tuna Roll, try spreading dynamite sauce on top of it.


Dynamite sauce is easy to make. All you need to do is combine 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise with1 tablespoon of hot sauce (I find Sriracha brand the best) and a drop or 2 of sesame oil. Once all the ingredients are in place, all you have to do is mix them together.

Tuna Sushi Roll Recipe


Ingredients:


5 tablespoons mayonnaise
8 ounces fresh tuna, sliced
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
5 sheets nori (toasted seaweed)
1 teaspoon chili paste (I use Sambal Oelek brand )
3 cups sushi rice, cooked
1/2 piece small cucumber, sliced into thin strips
1 tbsp rice vinegar
4 tablespoons dynamite sauce
1 tablespoon Panko bread crumbs
Wasabi paste


Cooking Procedure:


-Combine mayonnaise, sesame oil, and chili paste in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.
-Combine vinegar with sushi rice, and mix well.
-Arrange a sheet of nori over a sushi roller. Scoop some sushi rice and press on the nori so that the rice will stick. Do this step until most of the toasted seaweed is evenly covered. See the California Roll video for more details.
-Flip the nori in such a way that the part with rice is facing down. Arrange the tuna slices and cucumber on top of the toasted seaweed.
-Spread a little wasabi paste over the tuna, and then start rolling with the help of a sushi roller. Note: try to push down a little as you roll the sushi to compress.
-Spread some dynamite sauce over the sushi and sprinkle some Panko breadcrumbs on top of the sauce.
-Slice the Sushi roll crosswise into 6 equal pieces.
-Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with soy sauce and wasabe paste.

Tortilla soup is a chicken soup variety served with tortillas.



There are claims that this soup originated from the southwest as a way to use old tortillas. It might be true, but I will attest that this does not taste like any old tortilla at all. In fact, this soup is very flavorful and fresh tasting.
This soup has is a bit spicy because of the Jalapeno. It is best served during the cold seasons. I also find this rich and comforting –maybe because of the avocado and cheese.

Tortilla Soup Recipe


Ingredients:


2 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
1 medium avocado (ripe), peeled and sliced
Corn tortilla strips
1 piece jalapeno pepper, sliced crosswise
1 can diced tomatoes (about 15 ounces)
5 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
2 pieces lime, sliced into wedges
1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, minced


Cooking Procedure:


Heat a cooking pot and pour-in oil.
Put-in onion when the oil becomes hot. Cook until soft.
Add garlic and jalapeno.
Put-in tomatoes and cook for a minute.
Add chicken broth and let boil.Simmer for 10 minutes.
Put the shredded chicken and salt. Simmer for 12 minutes.
Turn the heat off and transfer to a serving bowl.
Add cilantro, tortilla strips, sliced avocado, and cheese.

1 cup barbecued pork, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce

8 to 10 pieces shrimps, shelled and deveined
3/4 cup green peas
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
2 pieces raw eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon ginger, minced
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
3 tablespoons cooking oil

Cooking Procedure:

-Heat cooking oil and sauté ginger and garlic.
-Add shrimps and cook for a minute. Remove the shrimps and set aside.
-Pour-in the beaten egg mixture and cook.
-When the egg is cooked, divide into small pieces. Add the rice and mix well.
-Put-in the soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Mix with the other ingredients.
-Add barbecued pork. Cook for 3 minutes.
-Add green peas and shrimp. Cook for another 3 minutes.
-Put-in the green onions. Cook for 2 minutes while mixing with the other ingredients.
-Turn the heat off and then transfer to a serving plate.

Champorado is a sweet chocolate rice porridge that uses sweet glutinous rice (locally known as malagkit) and cocoa powder as main ingredients. A more traditional approach would be using tableya (pure cocoa blocks) instead of cocoa powder.
This porridge can be served hot or cold and is mostly eaten during breakfast. This can also be served during mid-afternoon snacks (meryenda) and is best when complimented with Tuyo (salted dried fish).
In this actual presentation, I used special dark chocolate  (the only available ingredient in my kitchen) instead of the ordinary cocoa powder . This made the color of the Champorado darker…don’t be alarmed when the color of the champorado that you are cooking is brownish because that is  the way it should be. I’m just trying to save some money by using ingredients that are directly available . You should do the same thing too.


Champorado Recipe



Ingredients:


8 tbsp cocoa powder (or about 4 pieces tableya)
1 cup glutinous rice (malagkit)
1/2 cup sugar
3  1/2 cups water
condensed milk (optional)



Cooking procedure:


1. Pour 2 1/2 cups of water in a pot and bring to a boil
2. Put-in the glutinous rice and allow water to re-boil for a few minutes
3. Dilute the cocoa powder in 1 cup warm water then pour-in the pot. Stir continously
4. Once the glutinous rice is cooked (about 12 to 18 minutes of cooking with constant stirring), add the sugar and cook for another 5 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.
5. Remove from the pot and place in a serving bowl.
6. Serve hot with a swirl of condensed milk on top.

Pansit Miki are fresh thick egg noodles. These noodles are thicker than the egg noodles used in beef mami, and a little thinner compared to Lomi noodles.



Pansit Miki Guisado is a stir-fry noodle dish. Similar to pancit canton, this dish can be cooked with an array of ingredients such as pork, chicken, seafood, and vegetables.


This Stir-fry noodle recipe makes use of inihaw na liempo (grilled pork belly) to add a delicious smokey flavor. The chicken and seasonings also help to make this dish taste great.
I love stir-fry noodles. This Pansit Miki recipe is no exception. Its wonderful taste and texture made me ask for more.


Pansit Miki Guisado Recipe


Ingredients:


1 lb miki noodles
1/4 lb grilled pork belly, sliced
2 pieces boneless chicken breasts, sliced
2 cups cabbage, chopped
1 cup shredded carrots
1 medium onion, sliced
5 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablepoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons cooking oil


Cooking procedure:


1. Heat oil in a wok.
2. Put-in chicken and cook for 3 minutes.
3. Add pork belly. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Add sherry and onions. Cook until onions becomes soft.
6. Add salt, pepper, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir and cook for 6 to 8 minutes. Note: Add a little water as necessary.
7. Put-in the cabbage and carrots. Cook until vegetables are tender.
8. Put-in the miki noodles, and then stir. Cook for another 3 minutes.
9. Turn-off heat and transfer to a serving plate.

There is no particular time to eat a slice of bacon and spinach quiche. It can be eaten anytime of the day — be it for breakfast, lunch, snack, or dinner. I like to have a slice during the morning along with a glass of cold orange juice.

Bacon and Spinach Quiche Recipe


Ingredients:


1 pastry dough for a single crust pie (arranged in a pie plate)
6 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 to 2 cups spinach, chopped
10 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


Cooking procedure:


1. Combine beaten eggs, heavy whipping cream, salt, and ground pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix well and set aside.
2. Alternately arrange spinach, bacon, and cheese in the pastry dough.
3. Pour the egg and whipping cream mixture on the pastry dough (over the spinach, bacon, and cheese).
4. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
5. Put the pastry dough in the oven. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
6. Remove from the oven, and then slice.

My favorite Pork Chop Recipe is Breaded Pork Chops. The meat is coated with breading such as bread crumbs or all-purpose flour. This produces a nice tasting dish that is crisp on the outside while tender inside.
A simpler way to make Fried Pork Chops is to get regularly sliced pork, rub some salt, and fry it until both sides are cooked. This is the easiest and quickest to prepare, but the pork usually dries-out during the process. The meat also becomes tougher.

Another way is to cook the pork using this recipe. Don’t worry, we won’t be using fancy ingredients; all you need to have are thick slices of pork chops and some simple seasonings.

This recipe will produce tender and juicier pork chops with the same good taste. The secret lies on the slice of meat. The thicker the cut, the juicier the meat becomes – as long as they are cooked correctly.

Fried Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients:

4 thick slices of pork chops
2 teaspoons iodized or sea salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
6 tablespoons cooking oil

Cooking Procedure:

-Combine salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl. Mix well.
-Rub the mixture on all the sides of the pork chops. Make sure to distribute evenly. Let stand for 1 hour.
-Heat a frying pan and pour-in cooking oil.
-When the oil becomes hot, put in the pork chops and adjust the heat to low.
-Fry each side for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overcook.
